Bespoke villa design in Dubai
A villa in Dubai can be far more than a well-specified box. DGD designs individual contemporary homes around the people who will live in them and the plot they will stand on.
Who it is for
Clients who own a plot, are looking for one, or are reworking an existing property, and want a home with a strong architectural idea rather than a standard layout.
Most work is in Dubai. Projects elsewhere in the UAE and internationally are welcome, discussed case by case.
How a design takes shape
It starts with a conversation about how you live, what you want the house to feel like, and what matters most. Then comes a holistic study of the site: orientation, views, privacy, climate, context and the planning and building codes that apply.
Those inputs are brought together into one architectural concept, so the form of the house, the arrangement of rooms and the way light enters all come from the same idea.
Designing for the climate and the plot
In Dubai, how a house meets the sun is a design decision in itself. Deep overhangs, shaded outdoor rooms, careful glazing and the orientation of living spaces make a home more comfortable and more beautiful at the same time.
Plot shape, neighbouring buildings and community guidelines are studied early, so the design is ambitious and buildable.
Modern, contemporary, or something new
Many clients come with a reference point such as contemporary, modern minimalist or Mediterranean. Others have an idea that does not fit a label. Both are a good place to start. The aim is not a style from a catalogue, but a house that is recognisably yours.
